Home - Alice Springs
After arriving in Alice Springs, your Coach Captain and Hostess will take you to the city centre and the famous Todd Mall where you will have time to purchase your lunch. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon before checking into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Today travel to Simpsons Gap before heading out to Standley Chasm, a narrow cleft in the West MacDonnell Range which forms a glowing red corridor. Following a picnic lunch head further west to Glen Helen Gorge, where you will be greeted by a towering sandstone wall as you arrive. Return to our hotel for dinner.
Alice Springs - Stuart Well - Kings Canyon
This morning visit Camels Australia, situated at Stuart Well. There will be opportunity for those wishing to take a camel ride around the enclosure (own cost). Travel to Kings Canyon, situated in the George Gill Range. Continue on to Kings Canyon for our overnight stay.
Kings Canyon - Yulara
Following an early breakfast take the opportunity to enjoy this spectacular area during a Kings Canyon walk. Next travel to King Creek Station for lunch before continuing on to Yulara. At sunset, you will have the opportunity to view Uluru (affectionately known as 'The Rock') at its most spectacular and fill your camera with photos. We check into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Today we explore two of Australia's renowned attractions, Uluru and Kata Tjuta, offering amazing opportunities to the photographers on board. Begin the day with a visit to the Kutu Warara Cultural Centre which is located in the park near the base of Uluru. Develop a better understanding of the Anangu culture (local aboriginal community) before taking time to explore the Uluru base walk, concentrating on one or more sections depending on your level of fitness. We then travel out to Kata Tjuta, where time has been allowed to explore some of the 36 domed rock formations that make up this magnificent landmark.
Yulara - Alice Springs
Following breakfast, we travel the Lasseter Highway stopping along the way for morning tea. Continue on via Erldunda and cross the ancient Finke River (which only flows a couple of times a year) as you approach Alice Springs. Visit the National Road Transport Hall of Fame before arriving back in Alice Springs.
Alice Springs - Home
After breakfast, visit the Alice Springs Desert Park before heading to the airport for your flight home. Upon arrival, our staff will have your transfers arranged.
