Within easy walking distance of most restaurants, the bowling club and museum, and only 300m to Lagoon Beach, you may choose to take a short stroll before our dinner together.
Day 2
Round the Island Cruise
Enjoy breakfast each morning at the nearby Coral Café, only a five minute walk from our accommodation. Today includes a coach tour visiting some of Lord Howe Island's more interesting nooks and crannies, followed by a relaxing cruise around the island. Enjoy the remarkable views while listening to the commentary. This afternoon is at your leisure before joining back together for dinner.
Day 3
North Bay Nature Tour
This morning visit North Bay for a tour and cruise. Enjoy the relaxed commentary on the Island's history and marine life as we cruise slowly to the beautiful North Bay. This afternoon is free to explore-perhaps climb up Mt. Eliza, walk to the Old Gulch or Herring Pools, swim or take an optional guided walk along the beach and learn about the unique history of the Bay.
Day 4
Tour the reef
View the pristine beauty of one of the world's untouched reef systems and discover a new world on a glass bottom boat tour. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. This evening join back together for dinner.
Day 5
Environmental and history walk
Spend the morning relaxing before joining the Ramble Bushwalk. This guided environmental and history walk highlights the flora, bush tucker and medicine, the palm and tourist industry, birds, volcanic history plus snippets of colourful local history. Early evening, view the historical movies at the local hall, showing the island's early way of life, before dinner.
Day 6
Free time
Today is at leisure for you to pursue your own interests. If you are fascinated by bird watching, Lord Howe Island is the ultimate seabird destination in Australia with 14 species breeding here in the hundreds of thousands. You may also choose to do some fishing, snorkelling or just relax in the beautiful surrounds.
Day 7
Little Islands stroll
This morning we walk to Little Island with our guide. We will go to the fascinating mountains end of the Island, to embark on a 1km level stroll. Little Islands are where the lagoons reef come to its southern end. Rock was obtained from here for the building of the airstrip and the start to Mt Gower walk. After a rest to enjoy the views and a photo or two, we stroll back. Following lunch, your afternoon is at leisure.
