Brisbane – Mundubbera
Departing Brisbane, travel to Wivenhoe Dam for morning tea, before resuming your journey via Esk and Nanango to Wondai. Explore the South Burnett Region Timber Industry Museum before continuing on to Proston, admiring the rich fertile landscape. Pass through cattle country, orchards and small country communities before arriving into Mundubbera where we will settle in for the next three nights.
After breakfast a local guide will come onboard for a tour of Mundubbera, Queensland's citrus capital, and its surrounds. See and learn the local history through their eyes. Enjoy country hospitality over lunch at the Historical Society's museum before visiting the Mundubbera Regional Art Gallery

Eidsvold – Mount Perry – Childers
This morning visit the RM Williams Bush Learning Centre and hear about the role the centre plays in the local community of Eidsvold. Next we’ll travel to the quaint little town of Mount Perry, nestled between the Normanby and Boolboonda Ranges, through some stunning countryside. The town dates back to the late 1840s with rich deposits of copper being mined from the 1860s. Drive through the Boolboonda Tunnel, the longest artificial non-supported tunnel in the southern hemisphere. At Childers you will have time to wander down the main street, admire some of the heritage buildings and perhaps treat yourself to a handmade ice cream at Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream. Travel through Biggenden on our way back to the motel for dinner.

Mundubbera - Boolboonda Tunnel - Apple Tree Creek
This morning we'll travel to the quaint little town of Mount Perry, nestled between the Normanby and Boolboonda Ranges. After stopping for a cuppa in Mount Perry, a highlight today will be a drive through the Boolboonda Tunnel, the longest artificial non-supported tunnel in the southern hemisphere. Continue on through Gin Gin to Apple Tree Creek for a visit to the Flying Highbird Park. The Bird Park is the largest free-flight aviary in Australia and has over 2000 birds. Continue on to Childers where you will have time to wander down the main street. Take time to admire some of the heritage buildings and perhaps treat yourself to a handmade ice cream at Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream. Travel on through Biggenden on our way back to the motel for dinner.

After a hearty breakfast, we farewell our hosts and travel to Gayndah, stopping at the Big Orange for morning tea. Continue on to Gympie for lunch before arriving back into Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
